Holiday Spirit Week

Winter break is almost here, and we’re kicking off the season with Holiday Spirit Week! Celebrate the holiday season with us and show off your festive spirit during the last week before break, December 16-20. We can’t wait to see you sparkle and shine! Submit your photos to Mary Beddell at beddellm@plainlocal.org to be featured on our social media channels. Please review the themes below, noting that they vary by grade level.

Elementary Spirit Week Themes: (Students in Grades K-4)

• Monday, December 16 Cozy Sweater Day: Wear your coziest, most festive sweaters today! 
• Tuesday, December 17 Festive Footwear: Show off your fun and festive holiday socks and footwear! Please no slipper for our little ones safety! 
• Wednesday, December 18 Hats Off: Wear your favorite holiday hat or headband!
• Thursday, December 19 Elf Yourself: Dress up as your favorite holiday elf! Think of pointy ears, green and red clothing, striped socks, and all the playful accessories you can find.
• Friday, December 20 Pajama Day: An elementary favorite! Roll into school in your coziest PJs and enjoy the last day before the break in comfort! 

Glenwood Spirit Week Themes: (Students in Grades 5&6) 

• Monday, December 16  Winter Workout Day: Grab your favorite athleisure & athletic gear today!
• Tuesday, December 17  Holiday Headwear & Socks: Show off your fun and festive holiday socks and headwear!
• Wednesday, December 18 Grinch Day: Celebrate a holiday classic by wearing something green or Grinch-inspired. 
• Thursday, December 19 Elf Yourself: Dress up as your favorite holiday elf! Think of pointy ears, green and red clothing, striped socks, and all the playful accessories you can find.
• Friday, December 20, Tacky Sweater Day (a Glenwood Tradition!): Show off your most festive over-the-top holiday-themed sweaters!  

Oakwood Spirit Week Themes: (Students in Grades 7&8)

• Monday, December 16 Cozy Sweater Day: Wear your coziest, most festive sweaters today! 
• Tuesday, December 17  Tinsel and Twinkle Day: Add some sparkle to your day by wearing tinsel, glitter, or anything that twinkles!
• Wednesday, December 18 Hats Off: Wear your favorite holiday hat or headband!
• Thursday, December 19 Elf Yourself: Dress up as your favorite holiday elf! Think of pointy ears, green and red clothing, striped socks, and all the playful accessories you can find.
• Friday, December 20 Festive Friday: Celebrate your favorite Holiday Characters today! Think Buddy the Elf, Kevin McCallister, the Grinch, and more! 

GlenOak Spirit Week Themes: (Students in Grades 9-12)

• Monday, December 16 Tacky Sweater Day: Show off your most festive over-the-top holiday-themed sweaters!  
• Tuesday, December 17 Holiday Socks & Tops: Come Dressed in your fun and festive holiday socks and Tops!
• Wednesday, December 18 Grinch Day: Celebrate a holiday classic by wearing something green or Grinch-inspired. 
• Thursday, December 19 Winter Workout Day: Grab your favorite athleisure & athletic gear today!
• Friday, December 20 Sleigh the Day​​​​​​​: OVER accessorize with all things Holiday...Think tinsel, sparkle, lights, etc. The more, the better!
