Just Plain Dance 2024: A Resounding Success for the Arts
We're excited to share the remarkable achievements of the 2024 Just Plain Dance event, which left us all in awe. The performances, spanning various themes from the Eras Tour to a Super Bowl halftime show, were nothing short of outstanding, receiving a unanimous 10/10 rating across the board!
Most importantly, we are thrilled to announce that this year's event raised an impressive $33,500, which will directly support the Arts in our schools. This achievement was made possible by the exceptional leadership of Mrs. Blaydes and our talented student choreographers, including Greta Burchfield, Peyton Teter, Ana Marginean, Jaidyn Whitt, Bernadette Severson, Mackenzie Fondriest, Kennedy McClellan, Addison Wood, Eden Lewis, Mycah Morrison, and Elena Grimwood. Their creativity and passion are truly inspirational.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the GlenOak level two dancers for their dedicated volunteer work and to our GlenOak Light, Sound, and Video Production students, skillfully guided by Anthony DePinoto and Matt Patron, who brought magic to the stage.
We also want to acknowledge Amanda de Fays and Mikayla Hairston for their outstanding emceeing, captivating us throughout the evening. Special thanks to our food service department for transforming the GlenOak Black Box into a green room for our performers and for keeping the crowd well-equipped with snacks.
Now, let's get to the winners:
